Show Notes
Hey everybody, I’m Rob Cairns. I’m the founder, CEO and chief creator of amazing ideas at stunning digital marketing. I. Hope everybody’s. Doing well today. In today’s podcast, I wanna talk about a bit of a visionary on the Canadian rent. And that was a gentleman by the name of Phil Lind. Phil Lind was actually Ted Rogers, right hand man at Rogers communication and a big part of everything that Rogers did. Everything from jumping into sports with sports net in Canada and the cable expansion and the Rogers Empire expanding. Phil was a bit of a visionary in the. Health Communication market and interestingly enough, is only one of three Canadians in the US Cable Hall of Fame, the other two being Ted Rogers himself and Jr. Shaw from Shaw Communications. Phil was a visionary and he actually understood the cable landscape better than most people, and the Rogers Empire better. Than most people. I don’t think cable in this company in this company and in this country would be the same without Phil Lynn. Unfortunately, the world lost a man who was visionary in the Canadian cable industry. Last week at 80 years old, he was well respected by his peers and well respected by many people. A couple of years ago he wrote a book that I actually absolutely loved on the communications. Industry entitled The Right Hand Man and Phil did such a great job of portraying what it was like to be Ted Rogers, right hand guy in the cable industry. So just some thoughts on the passing of Phil and and what he’s meant to this country and the cable industry and the Rogers Empire. Rest in peace, Phil. Rob Caiirns from stunning digital marketing. Have a great day and bye bye for now.
