Protect Your Credit Card

This morning I received a call from my bank. For the 5th time in 2 years, my Mastercard has been compromised. In this case, it was not used at this point but it was used in a location where there was a large volume of credit cards used. This has not been fun.

So the question is what can you do to help yourself?

  1. Use your credit card only at retailers you trust.
  2. Check your credit card statement regularly – do not just wait for your monthly statement.
  3. Keep a list of all automated payments that come from your credit card.
  4. Anytime to pay for something online, add it to the list created in Step 3.

Doing these 4 things will help you in the long run.
