My Personal Health Update: Progress in Diabetes Management and Mental Well-being
It’s been a while since my last health update, so I wanted to share how things are going. Overall, I’m happy to report positive progress on several fronts.
Diabetes Management Update
Let’s start with my diabetes journey. I had a recent appointment with my endocrinologist, and the news is encouraging. Based on my progress, she has taken me off Trajenta. My current routine involves checking my blood sugar just a couple of times a week. She was very pleased with my current levels and overall diabetes management.
Mental Health Improvements
On the mental health side, I’m doing really great. One of the most beneficial changes I made was not reinstalling social media apps on my Pixel phone after getting it. While I still have access on my iPad, I find I don’t reach for my tablet nearly as often. Reducing that constant connectivity has made a significant difference.
Another big positive influence has been returning to reading regularly. It’s something that always helps my overall mood and perspective. Currently, I have three physical books and one audiobook on the go. Combined with my usual heavy rotation of podcasts, immersing myself in stories and information has put my world in a much better place mentally.
Support System
I also have to mention my partner, Tiz. Her ongoing support means the world to me and definitely contributes to my well-being. I’m incredibly lucky to have her.
So, while this update is short and sweet, the main takeaway is that things are genuinely great right now!
