Backups?

Today I want to address the subject of backups,

I can not tell you the number of people who do not take proper backups or have backups that do not work.

One thing you must do is make sure you test your backups before you need them. That means doing a restore to a test area.

This is the only way to ensure your backups are running and working properly.

I would also suggest that you test your backups multiple times in a year. Big companies have disaster recovery weekends for exactly this reason.

Do not play Russian roulette with your backups. This is a really bad idea.
