This is Bad Marketing

One of the things I constantly notice as a marketer is when companies use generic emails. The question is why?

Sign of what not to do
Do not do this!

if you look at the above address the “Company” uses a Gmail address on its sign.

Do not do this. This is a BAD practice.

A domain costs under $20 USD ,per year and you can host your email with Fastmail for $5 a month. This is a slam dunk!

Reasons you want to use a business domain e-mail:

  • It looks more professional
  • It shows the prospective customer that they are dealing with a real company.
  • A corporate domain is branding.
  • Using a corporate domain builds trust.

Using a generic email is bad for your business. Do not do this and brand your business properly.
