Democracy Is Being Threatened

I have been thinking a lot since the Kirk murder in the US last week. What I will say is the state of the world is in a bad place.

It all boiled over with Jimmy Kimmel not keeping his thoughts to himeself. Somethimes we just need to be smart and not say things. It is sometimes better off to stay out of politically charged issues.

That said, asking the government to get involved and threating to pull a broadcast license is so wrong. Kirk was entitled to his opinion and so was Kimmel (Despite that bad choice of timing).

President Trump is threating democracy by threating to pull broadcast licenses of any news outlet who does not agree with him. The narative has always been controlled but politicians but this is taking it to a new level.

Free speech is the biggest fundemental that democracy is built on. Lets be careful with this and shape the future the right way.
