Business Changes – Note Taking Apps

For about 4 years I have used an open source program to manage my notes called Joplin.

One of the real cool things with Joplin is that you can put the back end database on any cloud service that you can. For example One Drive, Google Drive or even Dropbox.

For the last number of months I have had an on going issues where my notes do not synch properly with my Ipad or Android phone.

With the year coming to an end I decided to deal with this mess. I moved all my notes to Onenote – which stores it’s data on Onedrive.

I have no more synching issues and I was already paying for Microsoft 365. The biggest issue is I had to move my notes manually. All notes were copied and pasted and attachements downloaded and uploaded.

This was a long process. The good thing is this process helped me cleanup and I am much better off.

I should to an updated post in the next few days talking about my productivity stack.
