Respect and Meetings

One of the things that drives me nuts in business is when people are not ontime.

I am always ontime.

Emergencies come up. They happen.

Meeting needs to be changed in advance – this can be communicated by an email or a phone call.

What drives me insane is when people show up late for online meetings.

On my meeting booking pages I have the following text:

Please arrive 5 minutes before your meeting is scheduled to start. A 5-minute grace period will be given for those who are running late. Once 5 minutes has passed, the meeting will need to be rebooked.

Lately it seems that I have been dealing with a pile of people who do not respect my time or my effort to be ontime.

This has turned into an issue.

It is desrespectful to be late.

Please be respectful and show up ontime.
